Life is better

I think I have started to come back to life. I'm surprised how bum I really felt. Yesterday (Thursday) was the first day I felt like going anywhere. So we headed out to a favorite place for breakfast. Which was suppose to be the golf course, but they were closed for some reason or another. We did have a back up plan down Bell Road. Everything is down Bell Road. The Desert Palms Restaurant. Breakfast special Eggs, Hash browns and Bacon $3.49 Love it.

As I had put our NASCAR tickets on will call, we had to go to Avendale and pick them up. We also had to check out a place called "Paws of Fame" A haircut for Charlie. After all Charlie need to have a due (This word was discussed, Hairdo, due, doo, We will take a vote on this Joe Isim), Anyway we got the tickets. We also got in a drive.

As I said I am felling better so we went down to the pool at the Town Center for the first time (for me) and had a dip. The 3PM walkers were there and doing their thing walking back and forth. I mentioned this last year. That pool has a group of mostly ladies who show up at 3 PM and walk back and forth across the pool. They are really a bunch of nice gals. Walk and talk. It's really fun.

Then back to our neighborhood. As I think I mentioned the area we are in is known for being very social. Now that I am not sick and have been able to socialise. We do have a great neighbor hood. The lady next door, Jeanne, is from Fircrest, in Tacoma, graduated from Wilson as I did and even belonged to Totem Yacht Club as I did. Everywhere it is a small world. All the folks around here are really friendly and make us feel at home. Couple pictures of Jeanne's place and the party.

We visited for a while and came home. I even cooked on the barbecue. It was really nice to feel a lot better. As this is now Friday night when I'm doing the blog, there has been a gap. Today was good as well. Sue went to the pool for water aerobics. They had a big thing going on at the town center, but my friend Richard came over. After Sue got back we all visited. We went to lunch at J B s at Sun City Grand. Sue wanted a Hamburger. I went for the salad bar. We came back and Virginia and Bo were here with someone offering to fix the roof. ????. Went for a walk and had T-bone steak for dinner. So we are now sitting watching TV. Gosh it is sure nice to feel better. Now Sue will be making sure I exercises.
Oh, yes, We went to look for NC2. (Neighborhood Center #2) One of three pools here. They have a big room where the apparently do exercises. They also have a bunch of folks who gather around 3 called the Bobbers. In other words they sort of bounce up and down instead of walk. Funny. While we were there we went into the building and there were bunch of guys playing in a band. They have all sorts of things do do here. I might bring my horn back after Christmas. Might be a lot of fun. Not sure if I can remember how to read music or if my old horn still works. Tony will figure that out. So I have been wordy tonight. Nice to be feeling better. See you all later.

Glad to know you are feeling better. Looks like you three are having a great time. The weather is frightful here, can you please send some sun and warmth?
