It's a Barbra night

After getting up this morning to snow, we went to the Green Lantern for breakfast and a bit of shuffle board. The breakfast was good, but Glen and I lost our butts to the girls on the shuffle board table. The bums even skunked us on the last game.

Glen and Janet did good at pull tabs, so we went to the casino. This is the one at Ocean Shores. We have been there before. I was disappointed that they don't have Keno anymore. Don't know why a lot of these places have dumped Keno. Must not make enough money. So we played the milk money game. Sue and I only lost $10 of our $40. So we were happy. We didn't keep tabs on the others. We all had a good time.

Back at the beach the wind was blowing and blowing and blowing and blowing and ..........We had planned on a barbecued steak dinner, but with the blowing and blowing and blowing.....well, we made other plans. Janet had brocks and Cesar salad and some french bread. Yummi. So much for a barbecue. We even had our own sand dune in front of the motor home.

After dinner it was going to be Top Gun until Sue remembered the Divas. Now it is Barbra. I like this stuff except they have the TV going full blast. As you can see, I have taken cover under my NASCAR head set.

We will be heading home this morning. I'll get to wash all the sand and salt off Snuffy. It's not blowing so hard now but it is still raining. My new Verizon air card for the lap top works like a charm. Its hard to believe that you can be sitting on the beach and on the Internet at the same time. And as always Charlie was relaxed.

Trip to the ocean with friends

Well it's ocean time again. At least I have something to blog about. We have returned to Pacific Beach. Our friends from Twin Lakes, Janet and Glen Olson are with us. We arrived Saturday and went to our usual place for lunch at the Windjammer restaurant. That's the military place on the ocean. They have great hamburgers. That is their trailer and Snuffy

After that good lunch we went to our favorite "distinctive" bar the Aloha Tavern. It has been noted before in m blog from our last visit. Blue the cat was doing her normal thing. Sleeping in her box and drinking from her own glass on the bar.

Janet got along well with blue. There was also a couple little dogs. And I mean little. They were called chowieners. Chow and Wiener dog. They were really cute. (Not as cute as Charlie) Sue was holding one of them.

We like the Aloha Tavern. They have some really good signs. Well worn wooden floor with a wood stove by the door. Everybody knows everybody. People walk in and pick up the dog. One guy has his own Clamato jar for his beer. Has his name on it. A true Cheers only not as fancy.

After we got back we had a lazy afternoon and visited a little in our place and a little in their place. Charlie was in charge here and Rudy and Rowdy

I made Chile for dinner. We also had corn bread.

Then we watched a movie. All in a a good day even if the weather was lousy. They took to dogs to the beach between rain storms while I did the dishes. This time Charlie was an interested beggar.

So off to bed we went to wake up this morning to an ocean surprise. IT'S NOT CHRISTMAS, Richard says its 80 in Arizona.
