This was our annual weekend at Longview Golf and Country Club. Another couples Chapman tournament. For those who don't know what a Chapman tournament is, Well it's where we both tee off. For the second shot I hit Sues ball and she hits mine. We then pick the ball we want to play and finish the hole. Because the forward tees are moved up a long way, we hope Sue gets a great drive and I get a great second shot. I'll tell this weekend results a bit later.

The best thing about Longview is we park Snuffy right in front of the 10th tee box. Motor home is a bid down hill in the front, but it all works and camping is free. I bring the golf cart so that saves money, and our commute is about 30 seconds. This picture is the motor home with the tee in the back.

While we were there I tried to tackle the new digital TV stuff for the motor home antenna. I didn't do well and had to finish the job when we got back home. As you can see there are a lot of wires and they are somewhat of a mess. Took me two hours at home but I finally got it all straight.

Our friends Darrell and Mo, who were at Walla Walla as well joined us for some drinks Saturday evening. Darrell just loves to get Charlie railed up. Gets Charlie into his Whoo Whoo bark. Sort of like our neighbor Karl. They stayed for a while then moved to their hotel. We will be seeing them again at Meadow Springs next month.

The tournament format besides being a Chapman is a team event. There are three couples and "A" team (Low handicap) "B" team (Middle handicap) and "C" team (High handicap) We are the "C" team. Just love those 27 strokes. Our "A" team on the left were Jerry and Darline. They were a 6. The "B" Tim and Kathy middle (We played with the at Walla Walla too) were 18. Now the results. We didn't do too well as a teem on Saturday but we did much better Sunday. We pulled up to a third place team finish. $120/couple.
As to Sue and I. We did well both days. 63 net on Saturday and 61 net Sunday. We were 2nd net of the field. This left us 1st in our flight. So we got $100 there. It's nice to win once in a while. I don't think we won much last year, but so for this year we are two for two. All in all we had a great time. Our team members were a blast to play with. I especially liked the Birdie Bottle. If someone got a birdie the would break out the Birdie Bottle and every one had a shot. It was a mixture of Vodka and what ever was in the refrigerator.

As I noted being parked right behind the 10th tee box we got to see if the guard dog was doing his job. As you can see in the front window there he was guarding. I don't think he can see that far so I'm not sure if he recognized us. But he was doing his job.

Well know its back to work for a while untill Medow Springs. See ya all later.
