It is much warmer now.

Left Provo this morning at 8:00 AM. Sue didn't want to get out of bed, but after coffee she did alright. Did all the unhook stuff and we were on the road. It was a non event full drive south. Every community we went past had lots of steeples. Had breakfast at a place called Timberline Inn. Was good food. Passed thru St George which is a place where I hear a lot of folks are moving south now.

Slipped out of Utah and went thru Virgin Canyon and dropped for 5000 feet to 1700 feet. We had a record of 6700 feet above sea level today.

Arrived at Mesquite at about 2:00 PM. The RV park is mostly cement. Nice pool right across from the motor home. Pool is about 95 degrees while the hot tub is maybe 98. Pruned up real quick.

The casino, "Oasis" is nice. Not too really large. Had some of our favorite games. I did ok on Keno and sue did ok on her stuff. Like my 20 bucks became 26 and Sue's became 26 as well. That was before the dinner. Now we are up together about 2 bucks. Not bad really. We will be here tomorrow and leave Thursday morning for Laughlin. Not sure if we will paly golf or not. The seem to want $75 to $150 Each. We will see.

By the way. There is a spot for comments on the blog after each post. Send us a note. Till most likely Thursday from Laughlin.

An extra day in Provo, Utah

We decided yesterday that after driving 900 miles in three days that we should rest. Besides I needed to find a Vodka store. Actually we decided to play golf. There was suppose to be a 18 hole course about 20 minutes from here. so we just settled in and watched all our favorite shows like Desperate Housewives and Brothers and Sisters, Had a nice evening.

Got up this morning and went to get the car loose from Snuffy. Every thing was fine till I could not find the keys to the car. Sue has her set, but I could not find mine. We tore the motor home apart, finally gave up and decided we would look more later. I went to the RV park office to tell them we were staying another night, and also ask if they had found any keys. Before I got to the key part I reached in my back pocket for my wallet and guess what.....A set of keys...

While there I asked where there might be one of those stores that sell spirits. Lady behind the counter says "Yea isn't Utah a nice state" She reached for a note book and produced a ready made map to the nearest liquor store. Must be a common question around here.

The other thing I notice is that there about a zillion little steeples around here. The seem to be one on almost every block. Every one looks alike and they all stick up above the neighbor hood. There was even one right next to the golf course. Maybe it is good I got a par on that hole.

The golf course was fun. I did my usual One over par after 7 holes and then the real Joe showed up. Great round 42/54. Sue did good...104. The golf course was fun. Some of the greens actually made Twin Lakes look tame. Did play in about three hours. Now back home resting. Tomorrow we will head out early for Mesquite, Nevada. Planning on staying there for a couple days before we move to Laughlin. Hope everyone is doing good. Sue and Joe

The blog master at work. Its been fun figuring this stuff out. Need to know how to post photo albums. Think we will stay here tomorrow and play golf. Need to find a Vodka store. Might be hard in Utah. More tomorrow.

East Bay RV

The drive today was uneventful. Have a beep from the Remco cooling kit in Sue's car. Only does in the morning when it's cold. Could not get really level where we are here. this caused a bit of a problem with the front slide. Besides the good fortune of finding Sues family we pulled off at exit 261. Found diesel fuel, propane, a charger for Sue's Ipod with head phones and the RV park was just across the street. Have 900 miles of 1500 in. Not sure what we will do tomorrow but should be in Laughlin for a couple days. Just heard that it is 91 in Phoenix. Good...Good. sue is making hamburger steaks for dinner. I'll try pictures later.

Day Three, Provo, Utah

We left our little place in the trees this morning. Didn't freeze last night but it was still cold this morning. Only thing I should have done was empty the holding tanks. The gray water was almost full and smelled a bit as we traveled. Stoped at a Flying J to check on breakfast and they had a dump spot. good.....Sue remembered that she has family members dating back to 1845. Her Aunt Monie, Uncle Herbie, Grandma, Grandpa and Greats in the Kaysville Cemetery. so we stoped at a 7-11 and got directions to the Cemetery. I took one look and said this was like looking for a needle in a hay stack. But after wandering around for a while we found the family.

Oh for a better interet connection

The bigest problem on the road is Internet and TV connections. Internet is in and out and the TV schedul in Idaho is a lot different that that at home. Always takes some time after leaving to get all the systems working. Sue say says Hi and so do I.

The refrigerator

The drive to Twin Fall was fine. We have covered almost half way to Suprise. About 700 miles. The weather is good. We are at a place called Village of trees resort. Good for a nights stay. they have cable. Our systems need a few weekday phone calls to make our satelite work.

Having problems with the internet connections. As I was saying. Last night I bumped the door on the refer. So we had to duck tape it closed. Big turn on leaving caused the door to open. Opps. Never saw a wine bottle break at the bottom. RED too. Sue got the mess cleaned up as I drove up the hill out ofPendelton. As you can see we now have the door more taped up.
This was last night. got up in the moning and found the water hose frozen solid. got it loose but someone else will have to turn the faucett off when it thaws. Got under way with a little beeping from something. It quit. More later. Fueled and down the road we went.

Wild Horse Casino Pendleton, Oregon

Well we are off. The day started with a bang. After getting everything ready we started the engine and moved about 3 feet and heard a big bang. Similar to the bang we heard when we blew a tire coming up Tiger Mountain. Stopped shut things off and went for a look. I was expecting that I would be calling Les Schawb. Tires were fine. Found a orange ball that I had seen in the gutter in front of the house. It was very flat. So we said ahhhh and left. Nice trip over to Oregon. Lunch in Ellensburg. Now at Wildhorse Casino, golf course and RV Park, TV satellite is not getting what we pay for, but the Internet connection using my cell phone seems to be working. 1st day comes out OK. Tomorrow me move further south.

Hooked up and ready to go

Well, tomorrow morning we are off. Cars hooked up refer is full and so is the ice chest. Clothes are stored. I could go right now but Sue has to get a hair cut. We are planning on going down thru Salt Lake City. Weather looks good so its a new way south and we don't have to worry about all the terrible stuff in California. So tomorrow we should be in Oregon some place around Pendelton. By the way all my mispelling and such is provided for humor.

Avo & Codo and their new friend Catus

Snuffy is sitting out front. We will be loading all of our stuff in there today. Looking forward to heading south on Friday morning. Oh yes it was a compromise as to when we leave.

It all started when Sue's brother Mike gave Sue and Avocado plant. Then we went south last winter. And Margie Winters was taking care of the plant. Well as you all know the power was out for a week and everything got really cold and The plant met its demise. Two things happened next. Frankie Stephens heard the story and grew a another plant for Sue. This one dubbed "Avo" At the same time Margie, feeling guilt, brew another plant which she gave us last night. "Cado. So now we have two plants.

Opps...forgot about this part

Went to Jeff and Billie's open house of High Point Flooring in Mill Creek yesterday. Only mistake we made was eating breakfast before we went...They had more food than you can imagine, from hot dogs to salmon and steak. The have really done a great job on setting up their store. This however caused Sue to look at tile. Been thinking about redoing the basement floor entry and my office floor. So as you can see my office is now trash and I work in the middle of the basement. Philip will have fun while we are gone. Now I just need to get Snuffy home so I can get ready to leave. I want to leave Thursday and Sue wants to leave Saturday. Who do you think will win. :)

So Lets See, A road trip today

This was a nice picture I took from the Mukilteo ferry on another road trip about a year ago. Nice picture fo my testing. By the way if you cllick on these pictures they get a lot bigger. I had a job on Whidbey Island so, Sue and I hit the road. I did the job and then we golfed at Useless bay. So far I'm learning about this Blog stuff. See how it works on the road.

I might be getting this figured out.

This was from the last time we were at PIR. It's one of the best parts of a NASCAR race. Looking forward to this years jets. Now this should be on the same page just above this entry. Blogs are fun.

Second test
