Well race weekend is over. It was a fun time as always. We got to the track on Thursday morning about 9:30. As I mentioned before we parked in the same spot J133 with the same neighbors. PIR (Phoenix International Raceway) is a really big place. It’s hard to explain how big this place is. We have suite passes so we took the elevator up to the top of the grand stand and took some pictures from up high. We have heard numbers from 5000 to 7000 RV parking places. There are people everywhere. Lots of folks riding their bikes. A lot of people set up as a compound. This place is the best tail gate party in the world. The folks a couple rows from us even have a 4 piece band. This little video shows all the RVs. The noise in the background was the trucks running.

Here is a bit of the race. Better turn down the volume.

We had a great time as usual. My legs are really sore because we have to walk some where around 3/4 of a mile to the Track side Club. Not to mention the other walking that Sue makes me do. The Track Side Club is where we watch the race from. Really good seats that are about 50 feet from the track. Best part is that if the weather gets bad, which it did yesterday day, you can run inside. (30 minute delay from rain) IN ARIZONA !!!!!!! Then the wind picked up. But all settled in and the race finished.

All in all it was another great weekend. Charlie had his problems. It was an unfamiliar place. He didn’t like the generator. Lots of new smells. He was starting to get it when we moved back to Happy Trails this morning. After all he is still only 11 months old. Tonight he is back to his Arizona home with all the smells from last week. . He got to play with Putter this after noon. His parents are from Washington. They are a couple pads up from us. We played golf with them last Thursday.

Our schedule is getting busy. We will be having dinner with Virginia and Jan Holt tomorrow night, friends form the ASGA. We will be golfing with Carolyn and Kent Nelson Wednesday and having a visit with Phillis and Herb Breitenborn on Thursday. Got to give Richard and Susan a call.

Thanks for the update! I loved that video, you weren't kidding, turn the volume down! Good thing you have those headphones.
I didn't have to re-read anything, Joe you are getting "so much more better" at your blogging. It wasn't until the last paragraph that I was sure Joe was doing the typing :-)
Miss you guys!
