At the track

Well we are here at the track. After weathering the election. We played golf. I know Jeannie is happy. I hope this "Change" will have some substance. I’m just worried about how much the Democrats will tax us. Time will tell.

Happy Trails is as it was again in the past. It is sort of like a second home as we know a lot of the people that are residents there. This is the third time we have spent time here. When we got in Sue did our weeks worth the laundry. We went out to one of the breakfast places we have lined before. It was still good. But, we found out that the little restaurant at the Golf Course is now serving Breakfast and Lunch. We have found both are good and at a reasonable price. We can walk. I have been riding my bike to get the paper in the morning. Round trip is a little under 2 miles. Seems like a lot of work for a paper.

Wednesday we golfed with CW and Linda. They are from Kenmore. They are lucky, they will be here for 4 months. We are looking forward to visiting with them when we get back to Happy
Trails on Monday. Then we went to the hot tub.

For now we are at PIR (The race track) We got here about 10 this morning. Didn’t have any trouble backing in to our spot. Same folks are here from last year and the year before that. We are planning to make our combined 4 spots into a compound next year. That’s kind of what happens around here.

We set up and mostly spent the day reading as this is a day of hang in there. Set up the chairs and such. Our fake grass and all the tables and things. Visited with the neighbors. There are some wild ones across the street. If I was not here I could never believe the activity on this place. Folks are walking everywhere. Bikes, Dogs, Kids....It’s really an high energy place. As you can see everybody is really set up.

We are settled in fine. Everyone except Charlie. He is sort of freaked out. Must be too much commotion/noise or something. Besides he is dirty. We bought him a Jack Daniels #7 bandanna today so he could be a NASCAR dog.

Tomorrow we will do a big walk, where we go into the track area and look at all the stuff inside. This usually takes into the pits ant then we go the our ticket area. The "Track Side Club" This is where we watch every thing. The first race is Friday night followed by a BIG fire works display. This I’m sure will not settle well with Charlie. I’m also sure that Charlie will be much happier when we get back to Happy Trails. Maybe he and CW and Linda’s dog Putter will get along better.
