Two days of fun

Thursday was a day off from golf. We had some fruit for breakfast then drove into Lahania. I parked south of town so we had to walk in. This was for the walk of the day. Our purpose was to have a Nooner at BJ's. BJ's is a Chicago Pizza place. The Nooner is a 8 inch deep dish Pizza. Really good food.

Like most places in Maui they are just open to the air. While were were at BJ's this nice little bird was begging for food. He then must of gotten tired as he just went up on the music stage, behind Sue, and just laid down for a short nap.

We then walked to the far end of town and looked in a few shops. Lahania is a small town with lots of character. The town is about one mile long with one side where the shops are built out over the water.

This is a picture of a sail boat that grounded about three years ago. We first saw this from Cheesburgers in Paradise just after it was grounded. Seems that the owner abandoned the boat and split. Back then they were talking about him removing the boat, but it looks like the also abandoned that idea. So there it sits. Nice cruise ship behind.

While in town we checked out the departure point for the Ferry to Molokai and where we can park the car for a day and a half. We are going to Molokai on Tuesday to spend the night and play golf. There are two courses over there. One 18 and one 9. Then we did a little grocery shopping and back to the condo. While at the harbor I saw a boat come in named Finest Kind. My friend Jim Olson back in Tacoma has a business with that name. I took this picture for him.

Friday found us at Kahli Golf course. This is the one with the ponds for my new career of fishing. We golfed with Larry and Chris again. I must have rubbed off on Chris as he had the bad day this time. I didn't get to use my fishing pole. It was a better day for me.

Kahli has some sweeping views of the valley between north and south Maui. You can watch the airplanes arriving at the airport.

Was a good day. Good friends. Had french fries after golf and then stuffed the car for the ride back to Larry's house. Didn't get home till after the sunset. Today we are going to lay back and most likely watch the Seahawk game. Aloha for now.
