Moving Day and more

Well, its been a busy two days. Yesterday we moved. We were at Kihei Beach Condos and now we are at Menehune Shores. We stayed there for a week so we could be here in time to celebrate our anniversary. We could not get into here until the 3rd. It took three trips to move. I can't figure out how we collect so much junk (mostly food) in just a week.

Lucky we were able to hang out in the first place long enough to get into here. That helped with the move. As you can see we had a whole lot of stuff.

Anyway the new digs are really cool. Very nice and clean. Sue got to wash cloths. She was in heaven again. It's quieter here as we are back a little more from the beach. Like maybe 50 feet.

In front of the condo is man made reef. This was done a long time ago by the ancient Hawaiians. They trapped and raised fish. Kind of like the modern day fish farms. This keeps the waves a little farther out. Last time we were here they were working on restoring the levees.Check out this link Fish Ponds The building on the right is the Whale Museum.

We got settled in and watched the Mercedes from Kapalua. Vijay did bad. Yea......

We went to Mulligans at the Wailea blue golf course for dinner. Bummer, last time we were there there was a nice cat. None last night.

Got up early this morning to go golfing at The Dunes at Maui Lani with Carol and Gordie Homer. These are the folks we meant earlier. We had a blast. They are a very nice couple from Vancouver B. C.

Hope we get to get together with them when back at home. Golf was fun. The Dunes is a nice challenge. They are doing a lot of building around the course so it was a bit noisy. Had a nice visit after golf. They are leaving Sunday for Hana and then home.

They have some of the Hawaiian State birds around. The "Nene"
they look a lot like our Canadian Honkers. I haven't figured out why to protect them if they poop like a honker.

We are back now watching the Mercedes again. Vijay is still doing bad...Good....
