Yes, this is the warmest place in the USA

Yes, according to the news this the warmest place in the US. They even said it was freezing in Florida. It makes us feel guilty that we are in the warm belt. There has not been a whole lot of stuff going on. They just opened up a new dog play area. It is all fenced in with gates to enter and everything. Charlie loves it. He can run his legs off. There is a little mini dachshund named Peanuts who is 7 months old that can do in Charlie and three or four more dogs. He is the little thing in the picture to the right. All the dogs just have a blast running. That is after the usual hand (sniff) shake. Charlie was exhausted the rest of the day.

Here is an interesting thing about Happy Trails. The place right behind us is owned by a guy named Phil. His place and or place use to be twins. He has added on a lot as have a bunch of people around here. Like he has two storied, two bedrooms and a whole lot of other stuff. So I guess the two pictures are before and after.

Wednesday we had dinner with John and Linda Ward at Dillon's. This restaurant is the same chain that we went to at Scorpion Bay last November. This one was in Sun City Grand. I think they have four or five places around the area. Scorpion Bay is on Lake Pleasant Really nice for a lunch on the water. Both were really nickel (Thank your spell checker. The word was suppose to be nice. Sue laughed so hard at another Joeism that I decided to just explain) . Another good dinner with good friends. Afterwords we went to John and Linda's house. They have rented a nice home in Sun City Grand with lots of room.

Thursday we went the driving range and hit some balls. That is what golfers are suppose to do. Two large buckets and we were tired. Afterwords we then went over to Richards place for a couple of drinks. He was getting ready to head down south with Susan. He wanted us to go to Quartzite but we decided on not doing all the dust. We had a good visit and came home to scrambled egg hot dogs. A new invention.

Friday we played a little golf. We got paired with Peter and Ann. They are from Canada, just north of the Omack. They were a blast. Peter and I bet a nickle on a couple of KPs. Good thing I won the first one ans I did not have a nickle to pay off. I lost the second so we were even. He paid me in funny money (US him being a Canadian). They were really fun. got their number hope to play again.

After all this activity Charlie showed us how tired he was.

Today Saturday, we went back to the dog park again. Charlie got run into the ground again by Peanuts. We came home and Sue did laundry while I went to the range and hit some balls. We are now trying to find a place to stay for March as the spot we are in is not available and we have decided to stay another month. I went bobbing this afternoon and now we are watching football. We are also sad as we hear our friend Ken Bailey is not doing well. Everybody needs to send Ken prayers. He is one of the nicest guys around, We love you Ken.........
