Another Golfing Adventure

We are off. This was our normal stop in Ellensburg at the Days Inn. Sue was cooking after our trip to the pool and hot tub. Hot tub was nice but the pool was COLD. Oh well still an nice break in the road. We left Wednesday afternoon and stayed there. After a nice breakfast we were off to Richland.

This time its Meadow Springs in Richland, Washington. This is our fourth trip here. Meadow Springs is a very nice golf course. Greens are really fast and the rough is like wire. It really requires a rescue club to have any hope of getting out to the short stuff.

We are staying at Sandy Heights R.V. Resort, which is a KOA Park. The facility is nice with a lot of permanent residents. A little close to the freeway so it is a bit noise. It's a clean place and Charlie likes it, so all is well. About 10 minutes to the golf course.

We did a combination dinner last night with Ken and Elaine. We all brought steaks. Sue made a salad and Elaine did corn. Ken cooked the steaks. All was really good. It was really nice to just hang out and visit.

After dinner the girls walked Charlie and Ken and I did the dishes. We of course did a bang up job. Note the quality of the finished product.

We played our practice round today with Ken and Elaine. The weather was good. A bit overcast and around 77. That is very nice for around here. It's suppose to be in the mid 80s this weekend. That will be great. Last year it was in the mid to high 90s and that was hot. We have quite a few from Twin Lakes here. Besides us and the Baileys, there are also Dan and Mary Gleason, John and Linda Ward from Twin Lakes and also our friends Darrell and Moe are . suppose to be here. They play from Willow Run. After golf we had our customary trip to the bar.

New friends Mark and Joyce Garand and Kevin and Lilah Amos, all from Capitol City) followed us around the course. They also joined us after golf as well as at the Motor Homes later in the day. All in all a enjoyable day.

As we all know the family pet Charlie was back at home with his legs crossed. I wounder how one can cross four legs and still bounce in the air when he sees you. Anyway, he was glad we were home.

Tomorrow will be the tournament. We get to start with Mimosa or Screw Drivers. 8:30 Shotgun. Wish us luck.
